Building an Altar of Prayer & Fellowship

Praying with Purpose

“That is why we said, ‘let us get ready and build an altar-but not for burnt offerings or sacrifices.’ On the contrary, it is to be a witness between us and you and the generations that follow, that we will worship the Lord at his sanctuary with our burnt offerings, sacrifices and fellowship offerings. Then in the future your descendants will not be able to say to ours, ‘You have no share in the Lord.” And we said, ‘If they ever say this to us, or to our descendants, we will answer; Look at the replica of the Lord’s altar, which our fathers and mothers built, not for burnt offerings and sacrifices, but as a witness between you and us” (Joshua 22:26-28 NIV).

We are committed to building a physical altar (a table, a kitchen island or any surface that moms can gather around). We include a center piece that is symbolic of the altars of the nomadic tribes of Israel. The center piece includes: wood, stone, greenery and candles. (unscented or battery)

We offer on the altar our intercessory prayers, the physical sacrifice of time and the fellowship offerings of coming together for a singular purpose, moms praying!

WINGS members will commit to this time as a witness to our families and the generations to follow; we have claimed their lives for Christ and will with His authority:

  • Build a spiritual wall of protection
  • Bring down strongholds of generational habits or addictions
  • Release the Holy Spirit’s power and divine intervention into their lives
  • Specific guided prayers using Holy Scripture for personal application
  • Creates a singular focus for Moms to pray for their families

His church is alive in this chosen generation!

Be encouraged and have hope as you unite with others in petitions of prayer

“On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not overcome it.” (Matthew 16:18b paraphrased NIV)
