“One thing that has been a true blessing to me in our WINGS group is having a safe place to share my burdens and having my eternal sisters in the Lord to lift my loved ones up, especially in a crisis.

“Being in church leadership is sometimes more isolated to protecting your loved ones in your family as well as being sensitive to the sheep in the flock to handle your personal struggles. It has been a blessing to get with some confident older women crying out to the Lord on behalf of their children and grandchildren. We are broken mothers and grandmothers who cry when we pray. We use our Weapons of Warfare, such as the Sword of the Spirit, and stand in the gap for our loved ones. The power of gathering together as an army and crying out at the Lord’s feet is indescribable. Sometimes, I can hear the clanging of the swords as we pray! But most important is being in the presence of our sweet Lord at the altar. His overwhelming love leads us to tears. The discernment and leading of the Holy Spirit is revealing.

“The power and peace I experience at the end of our time together gives me the strength, hope, and faith that we just fought in the Heavens, and my God will answer prayer!”

“The WINGS monthly meeting has helped me see I am not alone. I am like many other mothers and grandmothers praying for huge needs in the lives of their families. Just that is a big boost. But, the patterns of praying and the encouragement to pray at home on Fridays have helped me to be more consistent in praying and deepened my prayer time in all areas. Now, when I see a change, I am very aware of that being in answer to prayer.”

“I love the direction that we receive from our monthly prayer time. It keeps me focused on the specific needs of our families. I can tend to get off track, and I appreciate keeping our prayers directed to our family.

“When I am around our altar of prayer, I experience the presence of God in such a real way. I know that He is always with me and hears me, but when I am praying with my WINGS group we all have an expectation of touching God’s heart and hearing from Him. When I hear the members of our group pray for the needs of their families, it touches a tender place in my heart, and when I hear them agreeing in prayer for my family, it touches me even deeper. I know that I have a support system in this ministry of prayer for my family.”

“As soon as I walked into a WINGS prayer meeting, I was amazed at the total focus of mothers standing in the gap for their children. By making this altar before the Lord, I see clearer than ever before the power of combined intercession for our children, regardless of where they are in life. Our children will be rescued from the power of Satan. As I pray, I see my children on that altar before the God of creation, and none of their problems are too big for Him to change for His glory. We stand together in total faith and agreement for their lives and souls.”

“When I was asked to be a charter member of WINGS, the first thought that came to my mind was, “NO, Debbie, these women are way out of my league.” I now know that was the enemy talking to me.

“WINGS has shown me that we are so similar in heart regarding our children that our hopes and desires for their lives are the same. It has also shown me our children all struggle with similar problems in this world.

“The difference it has made in my prayer life is FOCUSED PRAYER. These women have taught me how to pray for my family, that my family is my number 1 mission field, and that I better put on my hiking boots and step up to the spiritual battle ahead of me. WINGS has brought so much scripture to me. This scripture has opened my eyes to how I need to pray for my family and why I need to pray for them. There are so many truths that it boggles my mind.

“I see God working in their lives like I never have before. It encourages me to keep on doing exactly what I’m doing – PRAYING for them. This experience has shown me there is more power in my prayers for their lives than anything I could say or do to make a difference.”
